REPORTS TO: Food & Beverage Management Team

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Part-Time, Non-Exempt (Hourly)

JOB SUMMARY: The Server is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing food and beverage service in accordance with company steps of service. This includes maintaining a strong presence on the floor, anticipating guest needs, and ensuring seamless communication with the kitchen and bar staff. The Server must demonstrate strong guest engagement, a positive team attitude, and uphold cleanliness and service standards throughout each shift.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance and posture in accordance with the company’s Dress Code Policy.
  • Greet guests warmly, maintain friendly and engaging dialogue, and provide prompt and courteous service throughout their visit.
  • Set, reset, and maintain table settings and dining areas according to property standards.
  • Take food and beverage orders, enter them into the POS system accurately, and process payments using appropriate methods.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items, daily specials, liquor brands, beer and wine selections, non-alcoholic beverages, and garnish standards.
  • Understand and follow proper table, seat, and section numbering as well as table setup standards.
  • Adhere to all cash handling and credit card processing policies and procedures.
  • Complete daily opening, running, and closing side work assignments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all front-of-house (FOH) areas, including sweeping, mopping, bussing tables, and resetting as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to provide seamless service and support throughout the shift.
  • Follow all company safety and sanitation protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Valid ServSafe Certification required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Required: At least 6 months of prior experience in a server or food service role.
  • Preferred: 1–3 years of hospitality industry experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
