Reports to: Director of Accounting
The LineUp at Wai Kai is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our growing Accounting team. This role provides high-level accounting and financial operations support to the Director of Accounting and plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial records.

Accounting Operations & Oversight
Oversee and review day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, banking, and payroll coordination
Review data migration from POS and booking systems into the accounting system
Ensure accurate coding, entries, and reconciliations in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
Provide guidance and support to accounting staff and contribute to their professional development
Oversee safe operations and assist with troubleshooting as needed
Financial Reporting & Close
Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, variance analyses, and internal financial reports
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in partnership with the Director of Accounting
Systems, Controls & Compliance
Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets
Assist with audits, tax filings, and requests from external partners or auditors
Support accounting systems such as Sage Intacct, including POS and booking system reconciliations
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Cross-Functional Support
Partner with Operations, HR, and leadership teams to support accurate reporting and informed business decisions
Assist with special projects, process improvements, and system implementations as needed
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
3–5 years of progressive accounting experience; supervisory or lead experience preferred
Strong working knowledge of AP, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting
Experience with Sage Intacct and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment
Schedule flexibility may be required during payroll cycles, month-end close, special events, weekends, or holidays
Office-based role with prolonged computer use; light physical activity may be required
